Travelling expenses and lost income

Will my travelling expenses be covered ?

There are many rules relating to the right to travelling allowance, e.g. whether the patient programme you are following is highly specialised or whether the examination/treatment that you are undergoing is also available in your own region.

The best advice is for you to contact your local regional travelling department

Will I be able to get compensation for lost income during my child’s admission to Filadelfia ?

Contact the Social Services in the municipality in which your child lives, to apply for compensation for lost income.

Important: The municipality decides whether you are entitled to compensation for lost income, but it is your employer who decides if he/she will grant you a leave of absence during your child’s admission – or whether you are going to be able to work part-time.

You can get an application form for compensation for lost income from the Citizen Service Centre in your local municipality.

Contact the Special Counselling Department

In the Special Counselling Department we have experience in determining when the conditions for compensation for lost income have been met. In some cases, we are also able to assist you in describing the requirements relating to a child who needs special care/attention in the home due to epilepsy. You are welcome to contact our counsellors if you need an assessment of your specific situation.
